Three killed after military chopper crashes into house in Uganda
The chopper was carrying two crew members who were returning from the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo back to Uganda.
At least three people died after a military helicopter crashed into a house in the western Ntoroko district of Uganda.
The deceased included two soldiers and a civilian who was the owner of the house.

The chopper was carrying two crew members who were returning from the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo back to Uganda.
According to eyewitnesses, the helicopter hit the roof of two houses before going down into flames. The crash took place on Tuesday at 2:30 pm in Nyamisingiri village, Bwanika parish, Kichwamba sub-county.
The house it crashed into belonged to a resident identified as Mukidi, who was killed instantly.
Army spokesman Brigadier General Felix Kulayigye confirmed the incident and expressed condolences to the victims' families.
The cause of the attack helicopter's crash is suspected to be bad weather, said Brig Felix Kulayigye, spokesperson for the Uganda People’s Defense Forces.
In a statement, Kulayigye said the helicopter was flying to Congo, where Uganda’s military is fighting the Allied Democratic Forces, an extremist group allied to the Islamic State organization.
”The crew died heroes as they participated in the struggle to pacify our western frontier of the Allied Defence Forces,” he said.
